A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Chula Vista was called to order at 5:06 p.m. in the Council Chambers, located in City Hall, 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, California.

Assistant City Clerk Turner called the roll.

Councilmember Galvez led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mayor Casillas Salas read the proclamation and Councilmember Cardenas presented it to Sr. Maintenance Worker Castillo.

City Attorney Googins read the proclamation and presented it to Assistant City Attorney Shirey.

City Attorney Googins read the proclamation and  presented it to Deputy City Attorney Trujillo.

Senior Recycling Specialist Sanchez and Tina Matthias representing, South Bay Sustainable Communities, gave a presentation on the 2022 Beautify Chula Vista event.

Development Services Director Black introduced the item and UC San Diego Faculty Member Peerson gave a presentation on the Broadway Streetscape Study.

Item 5.8 was removed from the consent calendar at the request of a member of the public.

City Attorney Googins stated that Councilmember McCann would abstain from voting on Item 5.9 due to a potential property-related conflict of interest.

Sagy Amit, Chula Vista resident, spoke regarding establishment of an off-leash dog park at Hilltop Park

At the request of Mayor Casillas Salas, there was a consensus of the Council to direct staff to explore the possibility of an off-leash dog park at Hilltop Park.
