The Housing Advisory Commission has transitioned back to holding live, in-person meetings.

CONSIDERATION OF RECOMMENDING ADDING A PROPOSED LANDLORD AND TENANT ORDINANCE TO THE CHULA VISTA MUNICIPAL CODE

In response to a 10/26/21 Council referral and stakeholder input, staff has drafted an ordinance to address additional tenancy protections related to just cause terminations, removal from the rental market and anti-harassment in Chula Vista

• Recommended Action:

  Commission review Attachment 2, hear the presentation and provide an advisory recommendation to City Council

5.2

CONSIDERATION OF RECOMMENDING PROPOSED "THE RESIDENCES AT ESCAYA" AND "CASALAGO EASTLAKE" WORKFORCE HOUSING PROJECTS

Commission will consider joining the CMFA Joint Powers Authority to enable financing the existing 272-unit The Residences at Escaya apartment complex at 1925 Avenida Escaya (91913) and the CSCDA Joint Powers Authority to enable financing the existing 427-unit CasaLago Eastlake apartment complex at 2816 Cielo Circulo (91915) to convert to a modrate-income rental community

• Recommended Action:

  Commission review attachment 3, hear the presentation and provide an advisory recommendation to City Council
